The Mermaid Clay Mask

Give skin a revitalizing dose of Vitamin Sea with The Mermaid Clay Mask - A tightening and brightening clay mask suited for normal to oily skin.

We love powder clay masks because they are so customizable. Add in water, milk, yogurt, tea, honey, your favorite oil, aloe gel - the options are endless, and the facial can be a bit different each time if you'd like - which is awesome

Our clay masks do not contain any fillers and are 100% natural, for a truly pure and effective facial. Because you add in the water, the mask is super fresh every time you use it. There is also no need for a preservative since they are in powder form.

Clay draws out impurities and toxins from your pores, and has been used in beauty treatments since ancient times. We think it's pretty amazing that it's possible to restore our skin using only the natural elements of the earth.

2.0 oz | Each mask is packaged in a reusable glass vial + includes a product info card.

Ingredient Highlights

Spirulina is an algae that grows naturally in warm, fresh water lakes and is a fantastic source of antioxidants.  Known as being the world's first superfood, spirulina encourages faster cell turnover, helping skin heal faster. It also helps to remove bad bacteria that can cause acne.

Dead Sea Clay has a high concentration of minerals that are easily absorbed by the skin. Not only does it gently exfoliate skin, but also works to tighten and tone. It is also very soothing and moisturizing, giving skin a healthy glow.

Blue Majik is an extract from Spirulina, and is responsible for the gorgeous, mermaid-like colour.

Ingredients: White Kaolin Clay, Dead Sea Clay, Arrowroot (Maranta Arundinacea) Powder*, Spirulina (Spirulina Platensis), Blue Majik, Rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis) Oil*, Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) Oil*

*Certified Organic

We love powder clay masks because they are totally customizable, which is why there is no "correct" mixing formula.  We recommend that you scoop out about a tablespoon of powder into a non-metal bowl, and add water or other liquid component a little bit at a time until desired consistency is reached. Like the mask to be thicker and creamier? Add less water. Allow to dry and rinse.

*We love how much of a difference it makes when we open our pores with a warm wet cloth before the mask, and close pores with a cool towel or splash of cold water after.

We find the best way to mix the formula is to shake the bowl after you add the liquid component, and before you stir with a spoon. Almost like a "sifting" motion.  This allows for the clay to start absorbing water, and makes it easier to tell if you would like to add more of your liquid or not. You can always add more powder if it becomes too watery.

*When mixing the liquid component and clay, always be sure to use non-metal spoons and bowls.  This is because metal reacts with the clay and decreases its effectiveness. The negatively charged ions that are present in clay will become neutralized by the positive ions in the metal.

Once liquid has been added, it can be refrigerated for up to 1 week.
